Amaco L-Series Low Fire Glazes

Cone 06-05. These glazes provide the metallic look of hard steel and the high brilliance of lustre. The end result is determined by the structure of the ware and the method of application. Lustre and Metallic glazes can be used effectively in conjunction with other glazes or dramatically by themselves. Lustre and Metallic glazes can be high fired to Cone 4-6 (2161 -2269°F, 1183 -1243°C) with fantastic results.

More Information:

Stir and mix Lustre and Metallic glazes thoroughly. They should be the consistency of rich cream. If thinning is necessary, add a little water and AMACO® Gum Solution. Apply these glazes by brushing or sponging on a mature Cone 04 (1971°F, 1077°C) bisque. Fire to Cone 06-05 (1855°-1911°F, 1013°-1044°C). L-518 only: fire to Cone 04 (1971°F, 1077°C).
