Description:
A versatile, buff-colored body with a wide firing range. Porous at cone 06, but takes glaze well. Contains a small percentage of sand for medium texture. Very economical.
   
Temperature Range: Fires Between Cone 06-9, 1828-2300° F
Shrink Rate: 7-12%
Texture: Medium
Best Uses: Throwing
Color: Sandy tan color at Cone 05, Buff at cone 5+
Qualities: Wide firing range, Porous when fired to cone 06, Takes glazes well
Glazes: Use glazes that mature between cone 06 and 6.
