What is the QuickCenter™ System?
The QuickCenter™ is a revolutionary system and method
for throwing on the potter's wheel. For any beginning to intermediate-level
potter, this process is difficult even though wheel throwing is one of the
oldest art forms.
For centuries, civilizations have been studied through their ceramic artifacts and vessels. But the greatest challenge for successful manipulation of clay has always been finding center. Now the QuickCenter™ System revolutionizes wheel throwing. Clay is centered before the wheel begins to spin.
The Quick Center™ reduces the intimidation and frustration that all students experience at first because it completely eliminates free-hand centering by cutting an exact plug of clay and delivering it locked and centered to the wheel head. How to use the QuickCenter™ System
Begin centering up to 4 pounds of clay in three easy steps:
- Load the Canister/Plunger with clay by pressing into wedged clay (see photo #1).
- Place the Universal Adaptor and Recessed Bat onto the wheel head using the QuickCenter™ bat pins (see photo #2).
- Center the Canister/Plunger into the Recessed Bat Set, release the clay and begin throwing (see photo #3).
